Potty Training

For many parents, potty training is a stressful and challenging milestone to accomplish, however; teaching a child to go potty in the toilet is easier than most think. The first concept for parents to learn in the initial stages of potty training is that voiding in the toilet is not the primary goal. Establishment of a consistent routine, in addition to practicing and celebrating your child's ability to be independent in the bathroom is the early focus of potty training. Accidents are also imperative to the potty training process as the discomfort of being wet is your child's first cue to understanding that "potty no longer goes in my pants," it needs to go somewhere else.
